Taxa file

Below is given a list of fields that should be in the taxa table. Each row represents one taxon. An example file can be found below. The supplier of the taxonomy in the table is not important, as long as it is internally consistent. Please include higher order taxa, if available in your taxonomy, even if you do not have observations for them. We will use these to give more detailed taxonomical output in NIA.
source refers to the supplier of the data.
Taxonomic ranks with asterisks (*) indicate that if a value for this rank is provided, values for ranks above that rank should also be provided.
Please supply values for ranks above and for the rank of the taxon itself, for every taxon. If available in your system, we suggest you include higher taxa too, even if you do not have observations directly linked to these taxa. Please check the example taxa file for examples.

The full taxon name (including infraspecific_epithet, if present).
